Advanced Healers Program 2011: Energy Medicine and Ecopsychology

Developed and Taught by Dr. Jane Ely

“Change is inevitable, growth is intentional.” Glenda Cloud

The Advanced Healers Program: Energy Medicine and Ecopsychology is a program designed to support and strengthen Advanced Holistic Healers who are in private practice or would like to explore and deepen their transpersonal and healing skills. The program explores the many facets of healing the body, mind, emotions and spirit in an integrative, holistic approach.

The program has been developed by spiritual healer and counselor Jane Ely, and draws on over twenty years of teaching and counseling experience (see biography). Many of the teachings are based upon Jane’s life experience and her insightful new book entitled: The Worriers Guide to the Universe: Tools for Change [to be published in 2010].

Jane’s teachings in holistic, integrative Energy Medicine and Ecopsychology focus upon the inter-relatedness of all life and the process of becoming self-responsible, empowered, spiritual adults. We explore, in depth, the nature of the human energy body from inside the indigenous mind, relating it to our history, culture and present day life lessons, including self-awareness practices and insights for conscious living.

The term “Energy Medicine” is derived from the ancient indigenous traditions meaning to work with the body’s wisdom and its inherent ability to heal itself. The word, “Ecopsychology” is derived from ‘ecology’-the organic inter-relatedness of all living beings, and our relationship with our Mother the Earth. The root word “psycho” is Greek and translates as ‘soul’. We bring the experience of growing the soul into each teaching session. The level and depth of study, participation and transformation is profound as the teachings weave together traditional methods of self-realization with contemporary issues we work with on a daily basis.

In her book, Remembering the Ancestral Soul: Soul Loss and Recovery, [available at www.authorhouse.com and www.amazon.com] Jane discusses “soulular” and cellular growth as being inter-related, as well as methods for recovering the soul to live in balance.

This program requires a commitment to explore deep personal change through spiritual practices, laying-on-of-hands, energy medicine healing techniques, meditations, song and movement, and ceremony, which all support true lasting change. Each level of the program builds upon integrating and embodying the teachings from the previous level. Each progressive level follows a theme focused on the developmental cycles of growth and the phases of life we traverse. There are four levels to the program. The Medicine Wheel is a template upon which all the teachings are based.

Topic Overview:
•The Medicine Wheel of Life: Native American and Indigenous Wisdom Practices
•The Directions of the Medicine Wheel: Healing Templates, Phases of Development, Elements and Spiritual Significance. Each level of the four level training focuses on one direction and the significance and energy medicine it holds.
